Weston Village a Toronto neighbourhood with the feeling of a small town, it has maintained its community feel since its 1796 inception. This quiet neighbourhood provides an array of home styles from old pre 1900's beauties to newer homes built in 2000's from large bungalows to 3 storeys, 1.5 storey homes to new townhomes and not to mention condos overlooking the Humber River just west of Weston Rd on Lawrence Ave. The older homes are typically on large lots, which is harder and harder to find in Toronto. There are many conveniences, one of which being the Union Pearson (UP) Express meant to take you from Union Station to the Airport or vice versa in 25 minutes, has 1 of only 2 stops along the way in this great Village, the other being in Bloor West Village. The Go Train Kitchener Line runs here as well. The 401 & 400 are less than 5 mins from the main roads. There is plenty of shopping on the main strip at Weston Rd & Lawrence Ave and there is Sheridan Mall at Wilson & Jane which is just 5mins away. You can also find the Superstore just south of the 401 on Weston Rd, No frills on Jane St just south of Lawrence Ave, and many more conveniences such as the Public Library on Weston & King St a Heritage Building designated as such in 1978. This neighbourhood which has gone through its ups & downs; such as the flooding in the 1950's that wiped out the westside of the humber river banks, is still in a growing stage which provides for many homes at very affordable prices compared to other Toronto neighbourhoods, take a look at the listings below.
